The Wallace House at 2123 East Bethany Home Road and the Ensign House at 2200 East Bethany Home (demolished) are almost "bookends" to the house at 2141 East Palo Verde Dr.

Pictures of the Wallace house and descriptions of Ensign's personal home have enough similarities to 2141 East Palo Verde Drive to make the speculation that Ensign designed it. There is the use of rock and other natural elements, the massive fireplace, the siting of the house and the rooms to provide spectacular views of the valley, the porches, and the simplistic, but elegant design in all three homes.
